Kappa Alpha Theta is found at most large colleges/universities in the United States and a few Canadian schools as well. Membership is by invitation only. Letters of reference (a.k.a. recommendations) and/or supporting letters (letters containing additional information about a potential new member) from Kappa Alpha Theta alumnae for Arlington Area college-bound women should be sent to:

Letters of reference forms can be found on the Kappa Alpha Theta website: www.kappaalphatheta.org and now references can be submitted ONLINE via the Kappa Alpha Theta website. Reference deadlines are typically June 1 for the University of Texas at Austin and July 1 for all other schools, so please be sure your forms are submitted emailed or mailed to Barbara Beaty well in advance of these deadlines. In addition to the reference form, please include an official high school transcript, a resume (optional), and two photos (head shot and full body) for each potential new member (these are not returned).  To expedite the reference writing/submission process, we ask that potential new members provide photos, a resume, and high school/college transcripts in electronic formats (e.g. jpg/pdf/Word).

The Arlington Area Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae Chapter coordinates closely with the Arlington Area Panhellenic Association during recruitment season. For this reason, we highly recommend that area college-bound women register their interest in going through member recruitment by signing up with the Arlington Area Panhellenic Association: http://www.arlington-panhellenic.org/.

We also recommend registering for recruitment at the college/university where the college-bound woman is attending. It is always advisable to register interest as soon as is possible so that a candidate can receive every consideration for membership.
